This technique enables the expansion and replacement of genuine experiences with guided experiences that accurately replicate the essential features of a scenario. As a result, simulation is critical for high-quality learning and skill development.    

CSIS features five Simulation Laboratory boxes equipped with cutting-edge technology, mannequins, specialised software, cinematography and projection systems, and varied areas for the development of skills and application of information.

This unit is outfitted with all of the ICU's standard equipment, including multiparametric monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and perfusion pumps. There, the Nursing Training Simulator works well.

Unit of hospitalisation

This section is comprised of four multipurpose beds where you may learn anything from the most fundamental to the most complicated medical operations.

Equipped with basic and sophisticated mannequins, treatment carts, perfusion pumps, and specialised modules for breast exams, wound simulation, arms and thorax for venous and arterial punctures, aspirators, and other procedures.

Children's Unit

The paediatric unit is equipped with a paediatric manikin (VitalSim) designed especially for paediatric care, two cradles for infants, a birth simulator (PROMPT), and other pediatric-specific equipment.

Service

It is a place that has been prepared on both the hospital and extra-hospital levels. It is equipped with an adult manikin for advanced CPR (Resusci Anne), a baby manikin for neonatal resuscitation (Newborn Anne), stretchers, monitor, actual and training defibrillator, electrocardiograph, and stop trolley, among other things.

Consultation in Primary Care

This session is outfitted with the specialised equipment found in a Primary Care Center consultation.

What is the experience of the simulation center's instructors and students?

Implementing simulation as a teaching technique in the first quarter of the first year of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program presented a difficulty. Before using this approach, instructors were required to undergo simulation training and to abandon the "theoretical-practical" class structure.
