An important
part of nurses' work is collaboration with others, both patients, relatives,
other health personnel, police, fire brigade, technical personnel and the like.
As a nurse, you must be able to lead and take responsibility for the
collaboration. Using the Nursing
Simulator comes perfect there.
Some nurses
choose to take further education and specialize. Then you can, among other
things, become a midwife, health nurse, pediatric nurse, anesthesia, surgery or
intensive care nurse.
You must have
authorization to work as a nurse. You get this through the Norwegian
Directorate of Health.
Where do nurses work?
In hospitals,
nurses work in all wards, in emergency rooms, maternity wards and surgical and
medical wards.
Nurses also work
in nursing homes, residential and rehabilitation centers, health stations, in
the school health service, mental health care, in occupational health services,
counseling services and in the Armed Forces. Nurses have the main
responsibility within the health service in the municipalities and lead the
nursing homes and home nursing.
It is also
possible to work with research and teaching. It is also possible to work
abroad, for example in an aid organization.
