What are the Best Use of the Nursing Simulator
The Recovery
Nurse Training is a part-time training that trains for the profession of
recovery nurse. The aim of the training is to prepare students or to train them
in performing the function of recovery nurse within the context of the recovery
department.
The recovery
nurse has an extensive area of expertise. The very first period after
surgery, the patient goes to recovery, where different specialisms come
together. Post-operative patient follow-up on the current 24-hour recovery has
become considerably more complex over the years. The use of the Nursing Simulator comes very important there.
Since 2013, the
recovery training is a CZO recognized training. The application consists of a
part about the content of the theory and a part about the (distribution of)
practical hours. Hospitals have a cooperation agreement with a training
institute (see below) that makes the part about the theory. Not all hospitals
have yet submitted an application for recognition of their training. Do you

You can participate in the training if you:
·
Are in possession of a BIG
registered (nursing) diploma.
·
Work as a nurse in a recovery
department

The importance of CZO
recognition of the recovery diploma for hospitals
The training for
recovery nurse has been recognized by the College Zorg Opleidingen (CZO). With
this, the profession of recovery nurse as a specialization is finally final.
From this date, healthcare institutions can submit their application for CZO
recognition.
The CZO is the
national body for the accreditation of healthcare training. The CZO is a
non-profit organization that originated in 2003 from a partnership between the
Dutch Association of Hospitals (NVZ) and the Dutch Federation of University
Medical Centers (NFU). In 2009 the CZO became independent. One of the main
processes of the CZO is the processing of an application for recognition by the
care institution and the training institute.
The assessment of an application for recognition
The substantive
assessment of an application for recognition is carried out by a degree program
committee. The study program committee assesses the application for recognition
and grants recognition if all conditions are met.
