Right Solutions for the Nursing Training Simulator Now
This methodology
allows to expand and replace real experiences with directed experiences that
reproduce the substantial aspects of a situation with the maximum of realism.
For this reason, simulation is essential for quality learning and acquisition
of skills.
CSIS has five
Simulation Laboratory boxes with state-of-the-art equipment, mannequins,
specialized software, filming-projection systems and differentiated spaces
where skills can be developed and knowledge put into practice.
Intensive care
unit
This unit is
equipped with all the equipment typical of an ICU: multiparametric monitors,
mechanical ventilation system, perfusion pumps, etc. The Nursing Training Simulator works perfect there.
Hospitalization unit
This unit is
made up of four multifunctional beds where you can learn from the most basic to
the most complex procedures performed in the hospital.
·
Equipped with basic and
advanced mannequins, treatment trolleys, perfusion pumps and specific modules
for mammary examinations, wound simulation, arms and thorax for both venous and
arterial punctures, aspirators, etc.
Pediatric Unit
The pediatric
unit is equipped with a pediatric manikin (VitalSim) specifically for pediatric
care, two cradles with newborns, a delivery simulator (PROMPT), as well as the
specific material for this area.
Emergency service
It is a space
prepared both at the hospital level and at the extra-hospital level. It is
equipped with an emergency specific adult manikin (Resusci Anne for advanced
CPR), a baby manikin for neonatal resuscitation (Newborn Anne), stretchers,
monitor, real and training defibrillator, electrocardiograph, stop trolley,
etc.
Primary Care Consultation
This
consultation is equipped with the specific equipment found in a consultation in
a Primary Care Center.
What is the experience between teachers and students
of the simulation center?
The
implementation of simulation as a teaching methodology from the first quarter
of the first year of the Degree in Nursing was a challenge. Before starting
with this type of methodology, the teachers had to train in simulation as well
as break with the scheme of the "theoretical-practical" classes.
